Blog 3: My dream job

Hi everyone! In this third blog I'm gonna talk about my dream job.

To being honest, since I was 13 I've imagine me being and working as a psychologist, specifically a clinical psychologist, like the one who appears in movies; listening to people's problems and doing a psychotherapy. I think that clinical psychology it's so interesting but, studying the career, I found that I still love the idea of being a psychologist, but with a different specialty: An educational and social psychologist.

That means that I would love to work in schools, with children and probably being part of a psychosocial duo. Also, I would love to do investigations and study about the relation of the social, collectives and the individual; that social focus I think it's so important to apply in the psychology's studies.



Before talking about the necessary skills and the salary, I'm gonna talk about why I study my career, that is psychology. All began watching movies with the theme of mental disorders, like "Split" or "Black Swan". I found so interesting to study and understand people with disorders, and principally help them in a medical way, but not necessarily with drugs like a phychiatrist would do. 

So, I think that the skills that I need to reach everything that I said is the ability of talk with others; understand its problems; read a lot of specialised texts, mainly investigations and theories; etc.

In relation to the salary, I know that every psychology's field has their approximate salary, and generally it's around 600 thousands Chilean pesos and 1 million (and more), but it's not something that matters a lot to me; I only know that information because I wanna help my mom and grandmother with some money.

    Hi Ayleen! I think that your dream job seems very interesting. Studying the career I found very important and interesting social psichology and I think is very cool that you want to work in this area. I hope that you work in this dream job some day :)

    Hello Ayleen, I really like your blog because I can relate in many aspects, for example, I wanted to be a psychologist since I was 12 and I feel very interested in the social factors of the career too :D. I think that the focus that you like is beautiful and you explained it very well. I wish you good luck! Success.

Hello everyone! For this fifth blog I’m gonna talk about the changes that I would do to my study program, in psychology. One of the changes is related to the methodology of some classes. I would love that every class could be face to face as it has been until now, but also always having the option of hybrid class, or at least record it for those who can’t to go to the university, like the ones that lives far or have disorders that make it impossible for them to even leave their homes. Blog 1: A country I would like to visit (Italy)

Hi everyone! I'm gonna talk about the country that I would like to visit, and that country is Italy! :D So, I wanna visit Italy because I found it a beautiful country in terms of culture and art, architecture, beliefs, etcetera. Since I was like 17 years old. What I know about this country is where's it -I mean, Italy is from Europe-, its capital is Rome, and some of its beliefs, history, and iconic places and celebrities like, for example, they believed in various gods; the famous Eruption of Mount Vesuvius (Pompeii); Coliseum in Rome; and Leonardo da Vinci, respectively. If I was in Italy, I'll definitely visit a lot of places like, as I named before, the Coliseum in Rome, sail through Venice, meet the Sistine Chapel -even when this place is from the Vatican- and the museums that be there, etcetera. :D  Finally, I'm gonna said that, actually, I only wanna go to Italy to do an exchange in academic terms; I wanna continue my career -that is psychology- in Italy one seme...
